Weekly Seed Social
Rocky Mountain Seed Alliance is working within the new normal of physical isolation and striving to continue the joy and camaraderie that is our exceptional seed community. For the next month (or more, depending on interest), we will be hosting a FREE weekly event on Zoom where RMSA staff and special guests will discuss anything seed and grain related. We hope you join us this week, on Thursday, March 26th, at 5 pm PST for our first-ever Seed Social. We'll have a lively conversation with Bill and other special guests on the following....
March 26th: The Importance of Seeds
*Seed & Grain School Graduates: share with us your current efforts! If you have a topic you can discuss, let us know.
We are offering these light-hearted events to continue the connections in our seed-loving community.
S.A.G.E. the Seed And Grain Experience *UPDATE*
With the uncertainty happening across the globe, we will be postponing the Seed and Grain Experience in Buhl, Idaho until the first week of October. Please update your calendars for this immersive experience!
Even with this delay, the critical need to maintain our food security is of paramount importance. For this reason we will be offering a compressed version of SAGE online on May 1st and 2nd. Please stay tuned for details about the Mini-Experience and see how you can participate to deepen your connection with seeds, grains, and RMSA.
We thank you for your patience, flexibility, and commitment to seed education.

Along with our Vision for 2020, we are excited to offer a new program in collaboration with SeedLinked--an innovative organization that has apps and a web platform dedicated to field trials of vegetables, seeds, and grain crops.
We are looking for at least 20 participants to join in simple trials in assessing the viability of these varieties in the Mountain West and potentially beyond. A field app or the use of a PC is required for this project, so we are looking for folks willing and able to use basic technology in the field or in their home. Cell phones and tablets are best for interacting and uploading data/photos of the grains direct from the field, but info can also be submitted through a PC.
The trials will be based on the following 3 different categories of grains:
Please let us know by APRIL 1st if you or someone you know is interested in participating in this program. Spring is arriving early in some regions and planting dates for grains are rapidly approaching.
Arizona Gives Day: April 7th
What is Arizona Gives Day? It's 24 hours of online giving to benefit local nonprofits! Please show your support of Rocky Mountain Seed Alliance by clicking the link below. (Early giving has already begun!)
Arizona Gives Day is an annual giving movement uniting nonprofits, big and small, new and established, to celebrate and increase philanthropy in Arizona. What better way to show your solidarity for seeds and seed education in these uncertain times than to support RMSA in any way possible? Even the smallest donation helps! We could not do this critical work without all of you! Thank you for your support.
